{"id":253,"date":"2023-12-06T19:03:01","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T00:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.palcs.us\/palcsphoto\/swilson9\/?p=253"},"modified":"2023-12-06T19:03:01","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T00:03:01","slug":"watch-aperture-review-iso-wb-notes-23-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.palcs.us\/palcsphoto\/swilson9\/2023\/12\/06\/watch-aperture-review-iso-wb-notes-23-24\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Aperture Review &amp;&#8230;ISO &amp; WB Notes 23-24"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mrs. O Talks Aperture, ISO &amp; WB<\/strong>)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The numbers written on the lense of the camera are the f\/stops, all f\/stops availabe in your lens, will be located there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The brighter the place you&#8217;re shooting in, the higher the f\/stop OR the smaller the hole. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The darker the place you&#8217;re shooting in, the smaller the f\/stop OR the bigger the hole. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shutter speed is different from Aperture as it&#8217;s the amount of time you&#8217;re letting light in. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>f\/stop 8 and higher creates deep depth of field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>f\/stop 5.6 and lower creates shallow focus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The glass that makes up the lense of a camera is curved, when light is coming through a smaller f\/stop, or a bigger hole, it can create circles of confusion because the light gets confused, which could be a creative choice the photographer makes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ISO is the measure of how fast your camera is reacting to light.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A normal or neutral ISO is about 400.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The brighter the environment, the smaller ISO needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The darker the environment, the larger ISO needed. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After you pass 1600 ISO, pixelation occurs due to your camera adjusting to the lack of light.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Majority of the time, we shoot on auto WB (White Balance)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your environment is a certain hue, for example, yellowish, you can adjust your white balance to make up for this. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@JoshuaCrippsPhotography\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is ISO? Photography Tutorial: ISO Made Easy)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ISO starts for (Interoscillating Systematized Oppopotamus).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher the ISO -&gt; More Sensitivity = Less Light Needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower the ISO -&gt; Less Sensitivity = More Light Needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For best image quality, least amount of noise, and highest dynamic range, a low ISO is better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ISO does not have its own creative benefit, it can be used to manipulate one of the other exposure settings (Aperture, or Shutter Speed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By adjusting ISO, you can indirectly adjust your shutter speed and make it compensate for the light.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you make your ISO too high, it can increase noise, or pixelation in the photo.
