Color Theory Notes
- RBG Color: Color based on light, using the method of combining the 3 primary colors (red, blue, and green) in a scale to create any color. It is only used with light sources and not printing.
- CMYK Color: A color method based upon pigments. CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. Using the 4 colors, most other colors can be produced. (Though not all).
- PMS Color: A printing color method, it stands for Pantone Matching System. It is a large list of specially mixed colors. They are expensive but useful if you are in need of a consistent color.
Featured Artist
This artwork is from Eliot Porter, it firstly drew my attention because one of the subjects, the flower. Then as I looked closer, I saw the beauty in this image, the softness of elements outside of focus. The sharpness of the elements in focus. The bright bold color against a monochromatic color scheme. I adore this image.
