With a depth of field foreground, middle-ground, and background are all in focus.
With shallow focus, the foreground, middle-ground, and background are out of focus.
With shallow focus, the subject is in focus.
ISO 12,000 – 50
In dark environments, a higher ISO is sometimes required. 800 through 1600 is optimal.
In normal environments light ISO stays at about 400.
Photography Basics: What Is White Balance)
White balance is how the camera controls color.
In photography, color is measured by temperature.
Auto white balance in cameras have to measure the temperature in the scenery and attempt to match it.
When a scenery’s temperature/color is off, you can manually change your white balance.
The higher the number the warmer the temperature/color.
The lower the number the cooler the temperature/color.
What is ISO? Photography Tutorial: ISO Made Easy)
ISO is the sensitivity of the camera to light.
The higher your ISO the more sensitive your camera is, in turn, less light is needed.
The lower your ISO the least sensitive your camera is, in turn, more light is needed.
Aperture controls depth of field.
Shutter speed controls movement.
ISO controls aperture and (mostly) shutter speed.
The higher the ISO the higher your shutter speed.
Significantly high ISO can create a lot of noise/grain in your photo.
Examples of Shallow Focus)
This is my boy Davy, I love Davy. Shot on f/8From another Photographer – For some reason, the images are so small that when I enlarged the picture it blurred.
